To support the development and promotion of the beekeeping industry in the Loire Valley region, Véto-pharma, a laboratory 100% dedicated to the health of bees, opened l'Eva in September 2015, the bee protection space in Chaillac & Beekeeper Cooperative.
Descriptif patrimoine :
L’Eva, an entire building for beekeeping and beekeepers, includes an education room, a seminar meeting room and a cooperative honey room. The education space is open to everyone, with an area of 63 m², showcasing a living hive, educational materials and a set design with the world of the beekeeper. Events are organised around beekeeping, bees and bee products, and also beekeeping conferences and technical training. The honey room, with a total area of 165 m², offers a honey extraction and packaging service. In the extraction room, two different chains are offered: one for beekeepers with one to 50 hives and a second semi-automatic chain for farms with up to 300 hives.
