La Brenne à vélo
Come and immerse yourself in the unspoilt nature of the “land of a thousand ponds” with 300km of cycling trails to enjoy. La Brenne Regional Nature Park is a genuine biodiversity reserve, a quite magical site home to outstanding fauna and flora, with more than 2,300 animal species at the last count! Catch a glimpse of the cute little European pond turtle basking in the sun. The cultural heritage also harbours some delightful treasures here: harmonious villages set amidst greenery, traditional buildings, churches … Go for a stroll around the French-style gardens at Château d’Azay-le-Ferron and admire the collection of unique furniture there! Take a break or a dip in the Bellebouche pond surrounded by 300ha of protected nature, one of the loveliest in Brenne with its fine sandy beaches.
