In and around Orléans

A mere hour’s travel from Paris, on a flying visit or a longer break, come and drink in the distinctive landscapes of the Orléans region. Along with your family or friends, you won’t have to pedal far before you find yourselves knee-deep in nature, on the greenway of Charbonnières wood or in the surrounding fields with charming villages dotted here and there. You have a choice of trails to follow along the Loire or through the 35,000 ha of Orléans’ magnificent woodland, between greenways or the tow-path of Orléans canal. Whether you fancy a spot of local wine-tasting – there are a hundred or so hectares of vines planted around Orléans – or a fragrant wander around the many remarkable gardens, there’s something for everyone!
