Description

Located on the banks of the Loire, upstream from Blois, Montlivault village had a heyday during the 16th century. The château of Montlivault was built by Jacques Lemaire, treasurer of Menus Plaisirs, around 1610. Free visit/tour of the park and the outside where there are a chapel, the site of local courts, a fishpond and a wash house and a vegetable garden/orchard.
Also: possibility of a guided tour on demand.
