Alone - With another person - With my family - With my tribe

Imagine yourself singing loudly on the cycle routes of the Eure-et-Loir countryside, letting your hair blow in the wind and feeling as free as a bird! Well if this is for you and you are already topping up the air in your tyres, take a look at the Véloscénie cycle route. It crosses the region and will take you on an unforgettable treasure hunt around Eure-et-Loir heritage. On your marks, get set, go!

The Véloscénie is like a grand show

Get on your bike and pretend to be Mike Horn as you cycle along the Véloscénie. In total, you will cover 450 km from Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris to the Mont-Saint-Michel. In Eure-et-Loir, the Véloscénie will take you to the magnificent Château of Maintenon, the sumptuous Chartres Cathedral, in the footsteps of Marcel Proust in Illiers-Combray, to the treasures of Thiron-Gardais, the delightful village of Frazé and the Château of the Counts of Perche in Nogent-le-Rotrou. An itinerary of beauty! Follow the Véloscénie logo throughout the itinerary and embark on a breath-taking adventure!

Les clefs de Milton

Falling asleep with the Eure at your feet

During your trip along the Véloscénie, you will inevitably go past the unusual accommodation of Muriel and Guillaume at Les Clefs de Milton, with names of equestrian inspiration. Which would you prefer: a suspended tent or a room with a view on the stars? A guest house or a spa? Choose the accommodation option which fits you best and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle with these two adorable horse-lovers in the Eure-et-Loir countryside.

Suzanne Eure et Loir tourisme

Suzanne, 27 years old. I am an adventurer at heart and expert backpacker. I arrived in Eure-et-Loir by chance in 2019. Since then, I have been exploring every corner of the region to find the best spots for activities, mini adventures, cycle paths, hiking routes, festivals, party locations, local producers and more. I love everything that follows an eco-friendly and local approach and I have blossomed like a flower in the sun in this diverse and yet relatively unknown region. I can’t wait to share my favourite local places with you!
